The first comment on this video was very interesting. “USA lost many lives on 9-11-01 and now Japan lost more lives on 3-10-11 , add the dates together and its 12-21-12″

Focus on the minds:

I will continue to focus on the greatest minds in history.  Each month we will focus on one very special person.  For the month of January we will be focusing on Ed Leedskalnin. He was a wonderful mind that knew secrets that baffle the greatest minds of today.  He claimed that he knew the secrets of the universe. There is much debate as to how he created Coral Castle in Homestead Florida. There are many many large coral monuments that he was able to move on his own with no more than primitive tools. We have a group for him Here.

Ancient Cultures Hold Truths:

Ancient cultures have many truths that remain mysteries to this day. Each month we will be studying one ancient culture and how their knowledge relates to where we are today. Some of the cultures we will talk about are the Mayans, Sumerians, Egyptians and many more. If you have a culture you would like to learn about, feel free to sign up and send me a message. We will also include societies within this area. Groups like the Free Masons and the Knights Templar will be discussed.

Videos

We added video’s to all the ancient minds though out the site. This makes learning about each of these minds more pleasurable. Most video’s come from sources like the BBC and History Channel. There are many many hours of good information in those videos. Galileo Galilei Videos is an example of the new video pages. These pages are simple and to the point

We also added albums for each and every member. This allows our registered users to add images. Here is my personal Album.

Site Gallery

I have added a master gallery system so that I can create galleries for each mind that is featured on the site. I am currently populating this galleries and should have some posted by weeks end. Leonardo Artwork is an example of the new site gallery.

Additional Infomation

I have begun adding additional pages for each of the minds to give them tribute to the things they created, invented or accomplished. These pages include things like invention lists and the like. Leonardo Inventions is one example.

Facebook Connect

We are working on integrating Facebook connect to the site. Trials are underway at a beta site. We are getting much closer to accomplishing this. We have successfully connected and we are in testing phase.

We are still working on the photo gallery. As with all things, we want to make sure that the gallery is as user friendly and accessible as possible. We expect to publish that by the end of NEXT week.

I am truely excited about the future. Ancientminds.net is starting to grow though the search engines and though Facebook. I want to thank everyone that has joined not only this site but “Liked” our facebook page. Each of you inspire me to keep this growing.

I also released my first web blog video yesterday. It was a blast creating. I am using an Intel webcam here at my desk. I put up a backdrop and added some lighting to make the quality a bit better. After just 4 attempts, I was able to get the video completed.
